Biocide active substances not supported under the review programme

The following active substances are no longer considered to be supported in the biocides review programme for the specified product type:
Esfenvalerate (CAS 66230-04-4) for use in insecticides (PT 18)
Dichlofluanid (CAS 1085-98-9) for use in film preservatives (PT 7)
Citriodiol (CAS 42822-86-6) for use in repellents and attractants (PT 19)
Imazalil (CAS 35554-44-0) for use in veterinary hygiene (PT 3).

However, if your company is interested in playing this role as a participant in the Review Programme for any of these active substance/product type combinations you still have time to do it.

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has published an open invitation for notification which allows interested companies to take over the role of participant for the above active substance/product type combinations.

This notification should be submitted to ECHA via R4BP3 by 6 October 2017 for Esfenvalerate, Dichlofluanid and Citriodiol and by 12 October 2017 for Imazalil.

If the notification is declared compliant by ECHA, the Commission will include the combination in the Review Programme.

However, if no interest is notified, then the Commission will issue a non-approval decision for these active substance/product type combinations and the products containing these active substances and used under the referred product types will have to be removed from the EU market.

In the case you wish to notify your interest to ECHA to support any of these active substance/product type combinations, please contact us and we will be pleased to assist you.
