One month before the date of entry into application of EU Regulation 2019/1009, which is expected to initiate a new stage for agricultural biostimulants, there are several motivating scenarios for companies.
Although it is true that months ago there were doubts about this new regulation, not only for interested companies but also for laboratories and notified bodies. Nevertheless, today we can say that thanks to the synergies of several public and private entities, it has been possible to better focus the requirements, conformity declarations and functions that will apply in this new regulation.
From KAELTIA we have been collaborating with laboratories destined to elaborate the studies required in the conformity assessments, likewise, we have been in constant communication with notified bodies that have defined their assessment modules.
Although there are still factors to be defined, scientific-technical proposals have been made to the group of experts to enhance the practice of this regulation and to be able to carry out the new marking successfully.
In definitive, we are at an important moment for fertilizers in agricultural activities, where the role of biostimulants is highlighted, giving rise to a perspective of voluntary harmonization that aims to benefit all commercial agents in the value chain.
In Kaeltia we understand the interest of companies in this new process and that is why, thanks to our experience and specialization of our technical team, we motivate companies to start their projects within the new fertilizer regulation.
